Yoursphere assignment #3
This next assignment was for Punky to play games in Yoursphere’s virtual world called OurWorld.
She has been having fun playing the games. She LOVES computer games and so do I. We had a ton of fun playing the games and creating her avatar and learning everything about OurWorld. We definitely recommend it!! It’s been fun doing all of this with Punky! I'm still trying to pick up everything, but Punky has caught on to everything right away!

Yoursphere assignment #2
Setting up her own sphere was a little difficult. It was easy to get it started, but adding a photo wasn’t as easy. But I’m not the best with that kind of stuff anyway, so it was probably more user error than anything. LOL We’ll see how it goes and if anyone joins her sphere. ;-)
Yoursphere assignment #1
My first homework assignment for Yoursphere.com was to register and sign up my girls for the program. The registration process was very easy. I was able to set up accounts for all three of my girls in just a few minutes. The verification emails came right away and I didn't have to wait to continue the process.
Using the parent dashboard is really nice. I like being able to see what the girls did and what they posted and having the option to delete it if I feel it necessary.
Punky has been having fun with the site. She likes that she can make friends and post comments on videos and pictures. She loves to watch the videos and join Spheres. A sphere is a group where friends with like-minded interests like sports, music, fashion, gaming, academics, performing arts and more, interact. Yoursphere members can join any sphere, and can create their own – about anything they wish, and invite their friends. Punky made one for Coloring. Nobody has joined it yet, but she's still excited to check to see if someone has. Hopefully soon!
Yoursphere
Yoursphere is a social network for kids and teens. It's a place where kids and make friends and talk to other kids that have the same interests.
They take children’s safety very seriously.
This is from their website: “We work very hard to make sure those on the site are who they say they are. This means we look at substantial amounts of data to verify identity and we require parental consent to open an account. Because of these two things, it’s very difficult for people to use fake names to create accounts.” The best line I read on the site was this: “We run all parent names against a comprehensive sex offender database. If the name is in that database, the account is blocked and the individual cannot enter the site.” To read more about how they keep our kids safe, go here: http://yoursphere.com/safety-first I really like that they are so vigilant about it.
The site is free to join and use!
I am participating as a Yoursphere Test Drive Mom for 3 months. My girls and I have been playing around with the website a lot since getting started. They are having fun with it.
Just by being a Yoursphere member, and contributing positively to the community, you earn rewards called "credits". Redeem your credits at any time for any gift in the gallery that you'd like.
